Join Quadterion for a panel discussion featuring representatives from three organizations that utilize volunteers in multiple roles, including test development, governance, program development, and broader credentialing activities. This session will focus on building, engaging, and maintaining a sustainable volunteer network within a credentialing organization.

Attendees will gain practical insight into recruiting, developing, and retaining volunteers while building capacity across the organization. Panelists will share strategies for establishing clear roles and expectations, creating effective workflows, expanding volunteer pools, and balancing volunteer contributions with appropriate staff oversight and continuity.

By the end of the webinar, participants will have practical strategies for strengthening their volunteer infrastructure, increasing the retention of their volunteer pools, and creating sustainable processes that support both organizational needs and meaningful volunteer engagement while satisfying the expectations of NCCA Standard 13.

Speakers

	Nathan Burn, MS, ATC, is the Exam Development Manager at the Board of Certification & Quadterion, with a decade of credentialing industry experience. In this role, Nathan directs all areas of exam development including item writer management, item creation and validation, as well as test assembly and review. He is also responsible for coordinating BOC volunteers, including the Exam Development Committee for the ATC® and BCS-O® exams. Nathan has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with an emphasis in athletic training, in addition to a master’s in physical education. Additional certifications he has earned include Credentialing Specialist from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) and the Six Sigma White Belt certification.
	Alexandra Link, MS, serves as Director of Credentialing at the American Council on Exercise (ACE), where she leads strategy and operations for certification, recertification, continuing education approval, and oversees ACE’s Certification Advisory Board. She also oversees test development for ACE’s four certification programs, including SME recruitment and training, exam translation, and collaboration with testing service providers on all aspects of test development and analysis. With over 15 years in the credentialing industry, Link has contributed to many key initiatives such as virtual item development, live remote proctoring, SME training and mentorship programs, developing and launching video-based exam items, enhancements to exam security and disciplinary procedures, earning ISO/IEC 17024 Accreditation, and maintaining NCCA Accreditation. She holds an M.S. in Exercise Physiology and all four ACE Certifications.
	Taylor Tylka, BSN, RN, OCN, CBCN, is a Credentialing Program Specialist with the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. An oncology nurse for 13 years, she holds certifications in oncology nursing and breast care nursing. Before joining ONCC in 2025, Taylor volunteered with the Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN®) Test Development Committee and later served as committee chair. At ONCC, she manages the CBCN® certification program, the new Radiation Oncology Certified Nurse (ROCN™) program, and the upcoming Oncology Certified Navigation Nurse (OCNN™)  certification program. Her experience as both a credentialing volunteer and staff member provides a unique perspective on developing and sustaining effective volunteer networks.
